Competition is the mind playing tricks on us
Hey readers
So have you ever compared yourself to someone or put someone else that want you on a pedestal? Have you ever envied them so much and thought they are so cool why can I not be like them?
competition in this day and age has gotten UGLY/Hasslick (I am learning German at the moment or trying) everyone is trying to beat one another, it is cut throat but it doesn't have to be it is our minds playing tricks on us I reckon. So females I am one but I reckon guys as well are competitive but for different reasons! for females, a big part of a competition is about body image same for males but for females, it is more ugly I will use dance and Muay Thai or x fit as an example of this when we look in the mirror we want to be perfect we see another woman with bigger boobs or she has a flatter stomach and we subconsciously think I want what she has. we don't have the body confidence to say well my body is perfect for me. I feel like for some males and some of my male friends that they want to be bigger in size and that is not healthy either why is that we are all so competitive. If my kick is not strong in Muay Thai is it the end of the world HELL NO!!! But for some reason, I get down on myself because there are other people who kick way better than me. It's a subconscious thing, that is why in Muay Thai I only train for me I never train for anyone else because I cannot. In dance, though the competition is fierce girls want to be thin they want their legs to reach the top of their heads just like their friends do.
But is competition really healthy? Do we really need it? Is there a silver lining or research that tells us it is healthy to be competitive? Is our society so court up in striving for perfection that they are missing out on the beauty of a moment. The present should be where everyone should be and thinking about being in the moment do you think children in preschool and nursery think about the future? no, they live in the moment so why as adults is it ok for all of us to skip it and be stressed about it? When did this all change?
