Sleep!!!!
Hey Reader or Readers ...... if I am lucky enough to have some
So anyone that knows me knows that I value and need as much sleep as I can possibly get in order for me to be civil. that means that I sleep for at least 10 hours minimum that what I need in order to be a functioning adult.
Now I am not and will not ever be a morning person its just not in my nature to be, which to me is fine. Some people are Morning people and some people are Night owls, I like my sleep-ins and I like my bed.
So why is sleep so important? it is how the body recovers from whatever days activities that you have been doing. Now there is a difference between light sleep and deep sleep, One is the crappy one and the other one is the best one the one where when your alarm goes off on a Weekday morning you think "I hate my alarm clock!" (well at least that is what I think) The deep sleep is the one where the body and sleep research has backed this up (problem is I can't remember because I haven't had my normal 8 hours no today my ear was really itchy and it woke me up and then because I sleep with my blinds open I got blasted with the SUN am I happy about it no I am the devil reincarnated but it will be ok)
So because I train a lot I need more sleep, I also take a nap sometimes during the day so that my sleep is balanced. So Here is an Eimz fact: so sleep also helps fat loss if you can get at least 8 hours of sleep a night then you will lose some weight. it's not all about exercise and nutrition.
So this is my tips for a great AWESOME nights sleep:
1. have your dinner early not just before you go to bed and have it at the same time each night.
2. this one is more important than the 1st one but have a proper Wind-down routine all kids have them so all adults should have one too. try and do this 1 hour after you have dinner.
3. this one is THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP!!!! have a bedtime and stick to it. if you are going to bed at a different time each night not only is your body going to go into hysterics but it's not good for your health or your wellbeing.
4. If you are like me and prefer to exercise at night because I find it helps relax my mind before I go to sleep. Then this tip is for you try and exercise 2 to 3 hours before bed so that way your body can release the stress.
5. My BIG tip is NO SCREEN TIME BEFORE BED and NO ELECTRONICS in the bedroom
6. this one is optional but I keep my blinds open and my windows closed this way the natural light slowly signals your brain to wake up and then it forces you to naturally wake up.
7.DO NOT HIT SNOOZE even if you really want to and I know that sometimes it can be really difficult but don't do it once your alarm goes off whatever that might be or whoever wakes you up just get up and face the day.
thanks for reading
Eimz
PS: today I will definitely be having a nap!
